A part of Poblacion's Hunnanese restaurant trinity (along Chiang Xiang and Uncle Mao). The offerings here are pretty much identical from those other places. Here, their specialty is the drypot frog.
I ordered the sliced pork belly with preserved vegetables. Being a fan of spice, I requested they add red chili peppers over the dish. For the 380 php, there were about 10 thick slices of fatty pork sitting on a thin bed of soy sauce-soaked leafy veggies. The heat didn't mesh well with the dish as they were chopped in pieces more than you can take.
Dining a full meal here (to get a true Hunnanese food experience) will take you at least 1,100 php, which should be good for 3 people. No service charge here, and you get a free appetizer of deep-fried sorghum.
The service was amazing, servers very friendly and helpful. The food is nice, so glad we tried this place . . Really good chinese food. I like it. Food is a little spicy for me, but the bosd told me, i can choose the spicy level. were good for the price. I'm coming back!
Good food and clean place! Not so much for the server but definitely food are amazing here. Tried this poach fish in hot oil ,very tasty! Also tried pig intestine in hotpot ,cumin beef, century egg in chili oil, pig's ear,all are amazingly authentic hunan cuisine. Husband attest to that since he frequent mainland for foodie adventure ;)
